Amarnath Yatra 2025 Continues Smoothly; Officials Dismiss Suspension Rumours

The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025 is progressing smoothly without any disruptions on either the Baltal or Pahalgam routes, according to a statement from the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir on Tuesday. He dismissed social media rumors suggesting a suspension of the pilgrimage.

Addressing the misinformation, the Divisional Commissioner confirmed that devotees are continuously participating in the Yatra and having darshan of Baba Barfani without any issues. “The pilgrimage is going on without interruption. As of July 15, over 2.34 lakh pilgrims have had darshan, and on July 16, yatris are proceeding via both routes without any obstruction,” he stated.

Officials also appealed to media organizations to cross-check facts with official sources before sharing or publishing any updates related to the Yatra, in order to prevent unnecessary alarm or confusion among the public and pilgrims.

The general public has likewise been urged to trust only official communications for reliable and timely information regarding the pilgrimage.
